DoseAtlas

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Summary

DoseAtlas is a personal medication journal. By default, your medications, dose history, stock levels, and notes are stored only on your device (in your browser or app storage). We do not require an account, and the app is designed so that the developer does not collect your health data.

Who we are

DoseAtlas (“the App”) is a personal logging tool. Contact for privacy questions: replace this with your support email when you publish (e.g. support@yourdomain.com).

Data we store on your device

  • Medication names, doses, schedules, and stock amounts
  • Dose logs, injection sites, and related timestamps
  • Symptom notes, mood ratings, and free-text journal entries
  • App preferences (e.g. notification settings, disclaimer acceptance)
  • Backup files you choose to export

This health journal data never leaves your device unless you export a backup file or use a system feature that you control (for example, device backup).

Advertising (when enabled)

The App may show non-personalised advertisements to support development:

  • Web: banner ads via Google AdSense (when configured)
  • Android: banner ads and occasional short interstitial ads via Google AdMob (when configured), for example after logging a dose or adding a medication

We do not use your journal for ads. Medication names, doses, injection sites, symptoms, and notes are not sent to advertising networks and are not used to build an interest profile about you.

Non-personalised ads still require an ad network to deliver a creative. That may involve limited technical data (such as IP address or general device type) processed by the ad provider. That is not the same as targeted advertising based on your health history. You can use a browser ad blocker on the web; on Android, system or store settings may limit ads.

Data we do not collect

  • No sign-in or account profile required for core use
  • No sale of personal or health data
  • No health-based ad targeting or remarketing lists from journal content

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App may use browser or device notification APIs. Permission is optional. Notification content may include medication names you entered; it is shown by your device’s notification system.

Export, import, and deletion

You can export your data to a JSON file and import it later. You can delete individual notes or medications, or reset all app data from Settings. Clearing site data in your browser or uninstalling the app also removes local data.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. Do not use it to store another person’s health information without appropriate authority.

Medical disclaimer

DoseAtlas is a personal organisation tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow instructions from a licensed healthcare professional. Do not change prescribed treatment based solely on this app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
